Black Hat is a form of Search Engine Optimisation which is designed to deceive or trick search engines into ranking the page higher. Usually this is done by exploiting loop holes in the search engines. If the search engines detact Black Hat technics have been used they will usually penalise the website resulting in the ranks to drop or the site be removed from the index completely.

PageRank (PR) is a value between 1 and 10 to repersent the importance of a page based on incoming links from other web pages either internally or externally.
